About me
My name is Olivia Harrison. I am a Chartered Surveyor and have
been self employed since 1994. My time is divided between letting houses to
students of the
I like my tenants to feel at ease with me and most importantly
that my houses are their homes. I am looking for student tenants who are
organised and liaise well together; those who are co-operative, wish to live in
a comfortable environment and help maintain this environment for others to
enjoy in future years by treating it with care and respect.
If this is not your intention it is best for us all that you
should please look elsewhere for accommodation.
Property management and maintenance
My schedule in
·
the academic calendar (which dictates timing of
property viewings, ingoings and outgoings)
·
the necessity for supervision of works of
improvement/maintenance/repair
·
the
needs/requirements of particular tenants.
I endeavour to let intervals of no more than 6 weeks pass without
making contact with/visiting students for a quick informal chat to confirm that
all is well. I rarely carry out formal inspections at my houses unless I am
aware of a problem.
To achieve my objective of enjoying a happy, harmonious, and
hassle free year I make every effort to:

encourage tenants to pro-actively make an
approach to me on matters which warrant my attention (letting me know if for
instance they notice a leaky radiator so that I may attend to the problem
promptly)
·
respect the privacy and independence of students
·
attend to
administrative matters and/or maintenance/repair work with the minimum of fuss
or delay.
I am on call 24 hours each day - but prefer 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
for non emergencies - and can be contacted by telephone (land line), mobile
phone and/or email.
I employ the services of:

a CORGI registered gas heating engineer/plumber
·
an IEE registered electrician
·
a skilled carpenter
·
a reliable
and competent handyman.
